About Aerospace Software Ltd.

Aerospace Software Ltd. was founded in 1995 and performed various military communications and control projects.

We are also active in commercial communications projects. This includes embedded real-time software development from the physical to the network layers, on proprietary, DSL, ISDN and 802.x protocols from Lucent, Nortel, Siemens, Alcatel, Ericsson and others as well as Bluetooth and WiFi microwave modems.

Control Software

Control Software can be developed for any platform. Windows code is usually developed with the LCC-Win32 tool kit using theWin32 libraries and Linux code with the GNU GCC tool kit using the GTK+ libraries in ANSI C.

Over the years, we have used RMX, VRTX, VxWorks, Nucleus and few schedulers of our own design running on 8 to 32 bit processors.

Embedded Hardware/Firmware

Current projects use the ARM7 TDMI and Intel XScale processors. A variety of short range radio projects using Bluetooth, 802.11b and 802.11g are under way. These devices are the nicest toys we have ever played with.

Hardware development is done with Eagle by CadSoft. This is a very good cross platform development tool that runs on various flavours of Unix and MS Windows and it has an excellent auto router, which results in good quality, multi layer printed circuit boards.

Most DSP work is done with the 21XX fixed point DSP series from Analog Devices or Texas Instruments and the Power PC processors of Motorola, but the Intel Cotula and X-scale processors are taking over, since they deliver more bang for the buck.

Development can be done for the processor and operating system flavour of the month.

Code is developed in whatever language required, be it assembler or high level languages and if the development/debug tools do not exist, then we make them ourselves. Development work can be performed according to Military (2167/490) or Commercial standards.

GNU/Linux Systems

Linux has become immensely popular of late, especially in Europe and in the financial sector of North America.

Aerospace Software has extensive Unix and Linux experience and can put it to work for you, either in an embedded control system, or in your office. Everything in our company runs on GNU/Linux, including our MS Windows applications!
